Therapeutic Improvisation Book Cover Design

About:
Book cover design for Therapeutic Improvisation: How to Stop Winging it and Own it as a Therapist. The author, Michael Alcée is a psychotherapist based out of Tarrytown, NY. One of his specialities is working with with creative and artistic sensibilities and non-artists eager to discover their creative gifts. This "un-textbook" was created to help early-career therapists find their voice and make their sessions be more dynamic and intentionally responsive. I chose this painterly background and combined it with line drawings to create a colorful and artistic cover that is professional, but playful.
